Sustainability

Environment & Health

Sustainability and sustainable development focus on balancing that fine line between competing needs - our need to move forward technologically and economically, and the needs to protect the environments in which we and others live. Sustainability is not just about the environment, it's also about our health as a society in ensuring that no people or areas of life suffer as a result of environmental legislation, and it's also about examining the longer-term effects of the actions humanity takes and asking questions about how it may be improved.

Staying ahead by sourcing locally

Gaya ceramics, Located in Ubud, Bali provides REVĪVŌ with all of its customised Ceramic Design creations from all of our crockery and bathroom amenities, the beautiful creations come into being with a creative passion, a concern to preserve and promote craftsmanship, and a desire to impart an understanding and an appreciation of ceramic handmade processes. Gaya employs and trains local Indonesians who create 100% hand-made ceramics that are a combination of the highest quality of materials, incomparable artisanship and accurate production control. The Republic of Soap is yet another local Balinese artisan business whom we support for all of our chemical-free soaps, shampoos and body washes. They create exquisite natural body care products using the purest natural ingredients available. Products are made from simple yet wholesome recipes developed to the highest standards and are intended to give pleasure to daily life. Many of their hand made products begin with fresh, whole, organic plants that like whole foods, contain a wide spectrum of nourishing compounds.

Hydroponic Gardens

Hidden behind our Luxury accommodation is REVĪVŌ’s own organic, hydroponic vegetable garden which is used to harvest nearly all of the nutritious plant-based foods on offer on the resort menu including fresh, crisp lettuce, kale and other leafy greens to radishes and carrots. Simply put, hydroponic gardening is a method of growing plants without soil. In a traditional garden, plant roots have to seek out nutrients in the soil. In hydroponic gardens, nutrients are dissolved in the water that surrounds the roots, so plants have even easier access to the nutrition they need. On top of growing our own greens, all of our food products are sourced from local farmers according to seasonal availability.
