Thinley Om- Certified Bhutanese Traditional Doctor and Wellness Coach
Thinley Om, comes from the land of happiness and medicinal herbs, Bhutan.
Graduated from the Faculty of Traditional Medicine with Bachelors of Science in Traditional Medicine, Thinley is a certified indigenous doctor. At university, Thinley was known for her decency and diligence, earning several awards, including certificates in ‘Academic Excellence’ from His Majesty The King.
Thinley’s work experience in wellness landscape includes working with the pre-opening team of one of Bhutan’s 5-star traditional spa-inclusive resorts, the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary. She also holds her alma mater close to her heart by frequently engaging in discussion forums, and guest lecturer series, and sharing the importance of wellness tourism with students based on her experiences.
Offering the gift of listening, hearing inspiring stories and connecting them with mind, body and spirit through wellness; Thinley embarked on a social service journey in Bhutan before joining as Wellness Manager, and Bhutan’s first Resident TCM Doctor at the Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary in 2017.
Thinley also successfully completed a 5-month visit at Kagi – Maldives as Wellness Consultant and Visiting Practitioner, during which she has engaged with teams in facilitating wellness talks, treatments, mindfulness activities and sound healings.
Over the last couple of years, Thinley consulted, handled and engaged with hundreds of guests from far and wide, including celebrities, and renowned personalities. Her specializations includes traditional pulses reading, Ayurveda Doshas, Chakras and Qi imbalances that helps each individual to easily personalized their wellness journey, including the introduction to self-made packages of herbal teas, nutrition, mindfulness and exercises, that would gently but surely help you discover yourself more, slow down, reset and regain for a better tomorrow.
Joshua Sri Purwo Caroko - Executive Chef
Chef Joshua has been leading kitchens at luxury hotels, resorts and restaurants throughout Indonesia for nearly 12 years. He began his culinary career in 2011 at Grand Hyatt Resort & Hotel Nusa Dua, Bali. Expanding his career, he gained extensive experience in many top restaurants in Bali including Mozaic and Spice Restaurant Bali working with Chris Salans as Chef De Partie.
In 2018, Chef Joshua joined REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort Bali and has been with us since opening as our Executive Chef having trained with the much praised ALIWALU in her Vital Kitchen concept. Chef Joshua oversees the resort’s culinary program which focuses on a variety of health-conscious options, natural, flavorful, healthy and nourishing living food. Balanced meals are tailored to each person’s needs and guests are encouraged to continue a mindful eating plan after they leave.
He leads the kitchen as a harmonious place and puts a lot of mindfulness, care and love into the creation of every dish. The REVĪVŌ Vital kitchen concept is designed to retain the most nutrients through dehydration, sprouting, blanching, cold pressing and fermentation. As a wellness food specialist, Chef Joshua ensures every recipe and ingredient used, helps each guest to feel invigorated, nourished and happy. He loves to play with the healing power of the herbs, flowers, and nature’s natural products as well as the diversity of tastes and colors.
Jaka Supriyadi Nata - Wellness Coach and Movement Specialist
Jaka’s journey in fitness and wellness started in 2007 after experiencing difficulty in healing a football injury to his right ligament.
Motivated to recover from this injury, he attended fitness workshops and studied yoga to understand the basics in body anatomy and muscle movement. During this journey he discovered a safe and effective method for the body to recover from trauma. Since then he has continued to grow and update his skillset, eventually becoming a yoga and wellness instructor himself. His unique combination of yoga and fitness make him a unique and very distinctive trainer.
If you’re struggling to recover after a physical or mental trauma or simply want to enhance your body and mind, then Jaka is the right person to help. Fitness and wellness are not merely about looking good on the outside but also about becoming whole as a person inside and out.
Kadek Sukrawan - Wellness Coach and Yoga Teacher
Sukrawan is originally from Buleleng, Bali and obtained his bachelor degree majoring in English education of Mahasaraswati University in Denpasar. He then completed a course at FIT Malaysia, which allowed him to conduct one on one personal training sessions and group classes.
He started his career in 2011 at Carla Spa Bali as Spa trainer and therapist followed by Aspia Day Spa Seminyak as a Spa coordinator. He was then inspired to gain some International experience and spent 3,5 years with Six Senses in Kuwait for as a Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor which gave him excellent experience in delivering comprehensive wellness to his guests.
Moreover, Sukrawan is a Certified Sound Healer of Intayoga Bali. He combines sound healing with yoga and meditation to enhance the healing experience for the guest. Sukrawan has calm personality with excellent communication skills, he is be able to provide personalized and customized services to the highest standard to support and to enhance the REVĪVŌ wellness offerings.
Ida Bagus Putu Manuaba Yasa (GUSTU) - Wellness Coach and Muscle Therapist
Our much-loved wellness coach, Gustu, began his career assisting with and handling health and wellness programs. He had particular experience helping heart attack and stroke patients recovering from loss of mobility. Gustu is also known as one of the Wellness Association leaders in Bali. He also enjoys competitive body building where he represents Bali as well as for Bali martial arts. After his own personal health and fitness journey he decided to join Revivo as part of our wellness team specializing in fitness, movement and muscle therapy.
Gustu’s Muscle therapy is the massage flow of stiff muscles or problematic blood circulation. These problems potentially arise because of stress, a cold body temperature, lack of sleep or stress and exhaustion. It can also be caused by incorrect positioning during exercise / fitness or a lack of warm-up. The purpose of doing muscle therapy is to facilitate blood circulation, relax stiff muscles so that the body becomes relaxed. The duration of Muscle Therapy is not necessarily long, depending on the severity of the problem experienced by a person.
Minarni - Spa Manager
As the Spa Manager at REVĪVŌ Wellness Resorts’ holistic spa REMISSIŌ, Minarni Sukmadewi has curated the spa menu incorporating four key concepts, namely ancient Balinese healing traditions, aroma, hydro and chromo therapies, with the objective of making guests feel truly pampered, while allowing them to achieve overall well-being and balance.
Minarni has an impressive track record with almost ten years spent in the spa and hospitality industry, during which time she has developed extensive knowledge about the diverse array of spa treatments and products, along with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Aliwalu - Nutritional Consultant
Aliwalu is the Nutritional Consultant at REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort Bali where she has been in charge of menu development for NŪTRIŌ – a restaurant, bar and poolside lounge. She has leant her international expertise to conceptualizing each menu to adhere to a simple philosophy of serving food that is fresh, wholesome, organic and balanced.
Aliwalu is a certified Health Coach by the IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition), New York and is raw nutrition certified by David Wolfe. She has over 25 years of experience in macrobiotics, ayurveda and raw-vegan cuisine.
As a speaker on mindful eating, nutrition and frequencies, Aliwalu promotes healthy habits and quality living by consuming clean, vital, organic, local food without additives or inconsiderate manipulation of food. Her journey has been to understand and learn about the different philosophies of life to be able to deliciously synthesise ancestral vital flavours and practices in a contemporary way.
Aliwalu is also the co-author of ‘The Power of Food – Vital Kitchen’ and has contributed to various publications around the world. In addition to being a food alchemist, she is a yoga teacher and tango dancer.
