Vitality & Longevity Foundation

Wellness rooted in community

The most enduring contributions are rarely the loudest. They are built carefully, locally, and with the full understanding that real impact takes longer than a single visit to measure.

“Tomorrow’s luxury is leaving a place richer than you found it, without a footprint the tide can’t wash away” — Gordon Oldham, Founder

Those are the words of Gordon Oldham, the founder of the Vitality & Longevity Foundation, and they reflect a philosophy shaped across more than 25 years of social investment in Hong Kong, Nepal, Mongolia, and now Bali.

An English lawyer by practice, Oldham has spent his career building commercial ventures alongside the social infrastructure that responsible enterprise demands. The Action Asia Foundation, established in Hong Kong in 1998, continues its work with the disadvantaged and differently abled more than two decades on. Child Welfare Scheme in Hong Kong, co-founded with Douglas McLagan, works to support Right4Chilren in Nepal in giving rise to daycare centres, prenatal hospitals, anti-trafficking programmes, and vocational schools recognised by the Nepalese government and cited by UN and UNESCO.

Gordon’s approach has centred around the following: locally led, co-designed, practically maintained, and built to outlast his involvement.

Where Wellbeing Extends Beyond the Resort

The Vitality & Longevity Foundation was established in Bali in 2023 as the most recent expression of that approach, created to extend the work of REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort into the communities that surround it. It operates in alignment with the Vitality Centre, the resort’s dedicated longevity facility born from VITAŌ, REVĪVŌ’s biohacking and medical science pillar.

Where the Vitality Centre applies clinical diagnostics, advanced longevity therapies, and the latest medical technologies to individual guest care, the foundation extends that same evidence-based commitment outward, providing access to preventive health education and community support to those who would not otherwise benefit from it.

Knowledge as a Foundation for Change

At the core of the Foundation’s work is education, approached as the primary means through which communities are equipped to make lasting changes to their health. Seminars, workshops, and training programmes bring practical knowledge on nutrition, preventive care, and the habits that support long-term vitality directly to the people who need it.

Partnerships with universities have extended this reach further, bringing sessions on nutrition, mindful eating, and healthy lifestyle principles to students across Bali. Alongside this outreach, the foundation supports scientific research into the factors that influence healthspan and quality of life, contributing to a broader understanding of how preventive care can reduce long-term health risks across generations.

Meaningful Partnerships

The Foundation’s reach depends on the strength of its partnerships. Working alongside medical institutions, non-governmental organisations, universities, and local community groups, the Foundation ensures that its programmes are not only well-designed but genuinely accessible to the communities they are built for. These relationships allow knowledge to become action and initiatives to become something that endures.

A Continuing Commitment to Care

Every quarter, the foundation’s team visits young patients at a children’s cancer foundation in Bali (Yayasan Peduli Kanker Anak Bali) Bringing financial contributions and moral support. Children undergoing treatment need to know that care extends beyond the walls of the hospital and beyond the duration of a single visit.

The Cancer Support Initiative formalises this commitment further, providing financial assistance for treatment and medication, professional counselling and mental health support for patients and their caregivers, and community engagement activities designed to maintain morale across the full course of treatment.

Growing Up Well

At the Buleleng Orphanage, the Foundation’s Children’s Welfare Initiative provides financial support for nutrition, healthcare, and schooling alongside educational programmes designed to establish healthy habits from the earliest possible stage. Regular health screenings and immunisation programmes run alongside this work, building the kind of preventive foundation that shapes health outcomes across an entire life. The focus here is on investment, in the understanding that the conditions created for children today determine the adults they become.

Care Across a Whole Life

At the Ida Bagus Mantra Nursing Home, the Foundation runs ongoing wellbeing programmes for elderly residents, attending to both physical health and the quieter reality of social isolation that conventional healthcare rarely addresses. How a community cares for its oldest members is one of the clearest indicators of how seriously it takes health across a whole life. The Elderly Care Initiative is among the Foundation’s most sustained programmes

Environmental Responsibility and Future Initiatives

The Foundation’s commitment extends beyond community health into the environment that sustains it. The upcoming Green for the Future programme includes tree planting initiatives and beach conservation activities developed in collaboration with local authorities, designed to reduce environmental impact while encouraging a wider awareness of ecological responsibility. In partnership with Zbio, the Foundation supports sustainable organic waste management, and works closely with REVĪVŌ to implement eco-friendly technologies within the resort environment, including biopores and eco-enzyme production that contribute to sustainable gardening practices.

New programmes are also in development to expand health education outreach through campus roadshows and to provide preventive healthcare services for expecting mothers, working alongside a network of medical partners to support maternal and family health across the wider community.

A Shared Commitment

Many of the Foundation’s programmes are sustained through long-standing partnerships and patterns of outreach that have been built over time. Alongside the ongoing support provided to orphanages in the Buleleng region and continued visits to children undergoing cancer treatment, the Foundation organised a community blood donation drive in partnership with the Indonesian Red Cross of Badung Regency, bringing together volunteers and local residents in a collective act of solidarity. These are not isolated moments. They are part of a sustained commitment that grows with each year.
